Pedal For Heart

After hearing that my record was broken last august i decide that i needed to get back into the bike

this time I had an advantage the bike was already built plus trisled still had overzealous which is the perfect trainer its bigger heavier just the way I like to train.

 

Last year most of my trike training session's were not very successful due to the velodrome being used for little aths and soccer, So this year I organised to take my Fridays off work and to spend the day at the 

track instead.  This meant that i was not only able to get lots of k's in on a Friday but I was also able to use my power tap for more testing purpose's.  I ran numerous test's from wheel covers to no wheel covers 

to sealing up how much air travels inside the bike and lastly I tested tyre's to make sure I was running on the best rolling tyre out there. After my final test session I had found about 20 watts of improvement.

 

December 2010 I entered another 24 hour solo MTB race I wanted to try a new diet idea which I was unsure of.

I decided to try it during the MTB race mainly because I race MTB for the fun of it, so I wouldn't be loosening much 

if i couldn't finish it.  However my new diet worked a treat i felt great the whole way more alert than previous race's

and felt like I had more energy to push hard.  I finished that race with my best result yet 4th and 300k under my belt that’s about 60k more than my last enduro and this one was wet.
